Update in Europe plus New Deal in UK
Tuesday, June 2, 2009
I'm excited about things in Europe: Library of the Dead is #10 on the Times of London bestseller list this week and #3 on the La Stampa bestseller list in Italy. Also, per this blurb in Bookseller UK, my brilliant agents Angharad Kowal and Simon Lipskar of Writers House have concluded a wonderful new two-book deal with Random House UK for my next two books. The Tenth Chamber, which I was previously calling The Perigord Manuscript, about a mysterious prehistoric painted cave in France, is nearing completion and should be out, late 2010. | |
Arrow - which last week launched Glenn Cooper’s debut novel Library of the Dead, a high-concept thriller based on the notions of pre-destination and fate - has acquired rights to a further two conspiracy thrillers from the author. Arrow will publish Cooper's third thriller, The Tenth Chamber, in 2010, with a fourth in 2011. Kate Elton, Publishing Director, agreed the contract with Simon Lipskar at Writers House Inc. Cooper's second outing, Book of Souls, is scheduled for February.
